Matthew 5:39 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:7,8 Meekness is the opposite of pride. Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18 It is thought that pride is the sin from which all others stem. This is why the meek will inherit the earth.
