Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field; Isaiah 7:3
Shearjasub was the name of one of the sons of Isaiah. His name means "A remnant shall return". How fitting and symbolic to name his son. A remnant of literal Israel would one day return from the Babylonian captivity. And spiritual Israel (His Church) would also have a remnant at the end of time to call those out of spiritual Babylon. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Revelation 18:2,4
Always remeber to dig deeper. The Bible is a Chain-of-Truth from Genesis to Revelation. May we all be part of the "Shearjashub".
