The 4 Chaplains & No Greater Love

During WW2 the USAT Dorchester was sunk while crossing the Atlantic. As the crew were being evacuated life jackets were passed out. There were not enough and the four chaplains on board gave theirs away. They held arms on the ship as it went down and were heard praying for the survivors in the water and life boats. Only 230 out of the 904 men onboard survived. Most died from the cold in the water that night.The 4 chaplins were George Fox (Pennsylvannia), Alexander Goode (NY), Clark Poling (Ohio) and John Washington (New Jersey). Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

The Sabbath & the Eastern Orthodox Churches

According to the OrthodoxWiki site, Eastern Orthodox Christians believe the following about the Sabbath and its supposed change from the 7th day Sabbath to the 1st day observance of Sunday- "By the second century the Lord's Day was looked upon as the day of rest and the day for celebrating the Divine Liturgy, replacing the Jewish Sabbath. Then in 325, the Council of Nicea formally declared that the Lord's Day, Sunday, was the day of worship for Orthodox Christians." If the Sabbath was changed by the Lord-why did it take until the 2nd century?

LET the SCRIPTURES speak on the subject:

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:19

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy....But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: Exodus 20:8,10

Come out of Babylon

Message for Babylon (Papal Rome & its apostate daughter churches who still have a foot in Rome) Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms. Isaiah 47:1,5

Where does "Babylon" turn? Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Isaiah 47:12,13

Their End-Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. Isaiah 47:14

What does God say to His people about Babylon? Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. Jeremiah 51:8,9 And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground. Isaiah 21:9 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Jeremiah 51:7 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Revelation 18:2-5

Cup of Woe

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26:39

The Health/Temperance Message

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19,20 "We are not our own....If we could understand this, and fully realize it, we would feel a great responsibility resting upon us to keep ourselves in the very best condition of health, that we might render to God perfect service." Testimonies for the Church vol. 2, p.68 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 "God requires all men to render their bodies to Him a living sacrifice, not a dead or dying sacrifice, a sacrifice which their own corse of action is debilitating, filling with impurities and disease." False Doctrine of the "Moral Influence Theory"

The Moral Influence Theory is of the idea that Christ really only died on the cross in order to "melt" the hearts of people. Not as a substitute for our sins. This of course-is clearly a False Doctrine. Some claim it was the dominant theory of the so-called "church fathers" in the late 100's. But if true-so what? That would be nearly a century AFTER the crucifixtion and the apostles. We all know false doctrines were already creeping into the Church. -Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

As for His work on the Cross- Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. Hebrews 7:27

A Thought from Psalms

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? Psalm 8:3,4

Man of Sin & Papal Rome

@This "man of sin" would come first, causing a "falling away" before the end comes- Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2 Thessalonians 2:3

@Of course we all know of the Papacy and its claim to Infallibility- Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:4

@He would arise apparently sometime after the days of Paul- Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. And then shall that Wicked be revealed,.. 2 Thessalonians 2:5,6,8

@He works with the power from Lucifer- Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; 2 Thessalonians 2:9,10

Lets look at the phrase "deceivableness of unrighteousness". What does it mean? It was a new system to decieve the masses of followers like nothing they had ever seen before. The power and pomp of Papal Rome. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2 Thessalonians 2:11

Christianity had God-our Redeemer & Creator

Papal Rome had a god too-the Pope, the Holy Father in Rome

Christianity has a saviour-Christ

Papal Rome has a saviour-the Sacraments of the Church (Last Rights, Mass, Confession,etc)

Chrisitianity had a sacrifice-the Lamb that was slain for the world/Christ on the cross

Papal Rome has a sacrifice-the Mass

Christianity has a mediator for us-Christ in Heaven

Papal Rome has a mediator for you- the priesthood

Christianity has a pardon-from the blood of the Lamb

Papal Rome has a pardon-the confessional

Christianity has an advocate for us in Heaven-Christ our Advocate

Papal Rome has an advocate supposedly in Heaven for you-Mother Mary

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:12

Babylon (Papal Rome & the apostate churches that still have a foot in her-through Sunday sacredness in place of the Sabbath and the idea of the Immortality of the Soul) God calls His faithful in these Churches to come out of her- And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. In closing Paul says- Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 2 Thessalonians 2:15

End of Lucifer

.......therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. Ezekiel 28:18

Two Works of the Holy Spirit

2 Works of the Holy Spirit:

1) Guide you into truth- Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: John 16:13

2) Convert our hearts- ....because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5

How Christ Taught

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Matthew 7:28,29

Harold Camping and False Prophets....

Harlod Camping predicted the "rapture" in May of 2011. His was another failed prediction (besides-there is NO "rapture" in the sense he speaks of. In the end every eye will see our Lord as He returns and raises the dead and the living who are saved-anyway-back to Harold). His predictions are based on the Pseudo-Science of "numerology". We are warned about false prophets...
