The Heart & Character

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: Matthew 5:19

"If Christ is not in the heart, the character will be unlovely." Testimonies for the Church vol. 7 p.81

Science of Salvation

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Acts 4:10

"...@Christ crucified for sin,

@Christ risen from the dead,

@Christ ascended on high

False Balances of Salvation

A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. Proverbs 11:1

When it comes to salvation some people have their scales out-of-whack. Some focus on just Sanctification and become legalistic, focusing almost exclusivly on keeping the Law of God. While others go too far the other way and focus on just Justification. They assume that they don't need to keep the Law. They cry "Grace Grace" but forget that they need the Grace because of sin-which is transgression of the Law. Grace and the Law go hand-in-hand. Study the outlay of the Sanctuary sometime. -------You'll see the balance.

Two things Job asks...and so should we

Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
1) Withdraw thine hand far from me:
2) and let not thy dread make me afraid. Job 13:20,21

Peace Be Still

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39

He asks you the same question today as He did the disciples then....

And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? Mark 4:40

The role of WISDOM

1) Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,

2) How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

3) Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

4) Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

5) When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

6) Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

7) For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: Proverbs 1:20-24,27-29

A True Christian

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: Proverbs 1:7

"A true Christian constantly acknowledges Christ. One sentence of scripture is of more value than ten thousand of man's ideas or arguments." Testimonies for the Church vol.7 p.70,71

Line of Demarcation will be drawn by the Law

And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. Exodus 24:12

"The line of demarcation between those who keep the commandments of God and those who do not is to be revealed with unmistakable clearness." Testimonies for the Church vol.9 p.251

King David is dead & buried-NOT ascended into heaven

King David is dead & buried...sleeping in the dust of the ground...

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. For David is not ascended into the heavens: Acts 2:29,34

Waiting for his resurrection day....

As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. Psalm 17:15

What did Adam & Eve do? What will we do?

What did Adam & Eve do when they heard the voice of God call out after they sinned? What will we do? Will you hide from Him or go to Him?

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. Genesis 3:8

The Wicked

Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth:Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. Psalm 58:2-7

Under His Shadow

......I sat down under his shadow with great delight,... Song of Solomon 2:3

"These words do not bring to our minds the picture of hasty transit, but of quiet rest. There are many professing Christians who are anxiuos and depressed, many who are so full of busy activity that they cannot find time to rest quietly in the promises of God. They must sit under His shadow if they would be professors of His peace and rest." Testimonies for the Church vol.7, p.69,70
