How to WEARY the Lord

Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment? Malachi 2:17

NOT by OUR works

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Titus 3:5

Ecclesiastes Summarized

Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour. Ecclesiastes 10:1

But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity. Ecclesiastes 11:8

So what is the ADVICE? -- Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; Ecclisiastes 12:1

CONCLUSION: -- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiates 12:13 12:13

Daily take up the Cross

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23

Breath of Life

God-bending over-and breathing the breath of life into man...

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

Isaiah 17

Jacob (Israel)-His spiritual Israel of today-His Church

And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. Isaiah 17:4

The reaping by the Harvestman

And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; Isaiah 17:5

Only a few left like after a shaking

Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel. Isaiah 17:6

Then they shall look at God with respect

At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 17:7

Your planting shall come for nought

Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow. Isaiah 17:10,11

The "many" are wrong......

Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! Isaiah 17:12

Rick Warren says that Christ basically told His disciples that "The details of My return are none of your business" The Purpose Driven life p.285 Warren

Brian McLaren (A major leader in the so-called Emergent Church Movement) says ""He [Jesus] tells them it's none of their business to speculate about how God plans to work out history, and then He gives them a mission to accomplish." The Secret Message of Jesus p.171 McLaren

Sounds like New Ager Alice Bailey (who had a "spirit guide") said "If our work is rightly done, He will come at the set and appointed time. How, where or when He will come is none of our concern." The Reappearance of the Christ p.188 Bailey

But what did Christ say?--When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Matthew 24:15 And He gave us prophecies for a reason. Beware anyone who advises you to take scissors to the Bible by disregarding parts of it. It was ALL given to YOU for a reason-prophecies included.

Beware of the decievers

Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 23:31

God?

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 2 Peter 3:3,4

To be a light to the Gentiles

Thus saith God the LORD,

1)he that created the heavens, and stretched them out;

2)he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it;

3)he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

**I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

7th Day of Creation

5th Day of Creation

4th Day of Creation

3rd Day of Creation

2nd Day of Creation

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 1st Day of Creation

Before the mountains.....

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Psalms 90:2

The Great Deception

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: Daniel 12:1 Then the Great Deception will come at some point before the end. Satan himself coming down with power to decieve the world. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Revelation 12:12 There is a movement on earth among the world religions looking for a common messiah. To the Jews he will appear as their long awaited messiah, to the Christians as Christ, to the Muslims as the long awaited 12th Imam, To those of the Hindu faith as Kalki and to the buddhists as Maitreya. The New Agers will see him as all of these.
Two things all these religions have in common for their messiahs:
1) He will appear as a divine person to bring about an era of peace and
2) The religions differ among themselves about the details. (Much easier to decieve that way).
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ....For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:3,4,13,14
Jews: They are still waiting for their promised Messiah to come. Maimonides said "I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the mashiach, and though he may tarry, still I await him every day." It is part of Rambam's 13 Principles of faith. Mashiach means "annointed one". He will usher in the Olam Ha-Ba, an age of peace. Within modern Judaism Conservative Jews are not sure if he will literally or symbolicly appear. Reform Judaism does not believe in a messiah. They believe rather in a messianic age or utopia that will take place. Orthodox Judaism follows the 13 Principles of Faith set forth by Maimonides.
Islam: The Mahdi will be the 12th Imam who will appear just before the end during a time of world chaos. He will lead the belivers for 7 years and pray at Mecca with Jesus beside him. Shiite Muslims believe he was born around the 13th century and has been hiding in caves waiting for his time to appear. Only Allah can appoint and annoint the Imam who is thought to be descended from Mohamad through his daughter Fatima. Sunni Muslims believe the Imam will be born among them at the right time and reveal himself from among them.
Christians: Some believe in the unBiblical so-called "Secret Rapture" followed by a 7 year tribulation. Some, the Charismatics, believe in the 1,000 year millenium before His return. They believe once the last person on earth speaks in tongues the millenium will begin. Still others, who are "amillenial", believe He will come whenever and however.
Hindus: Kalki is the 10th and last Avatar of Vishnu. He will return to end the current age of destruction and corruption. He returns on a white horse with a sword in his left hand. The god Vishnu is the sustainer of life and balance between creation and destruction. He will restore moral law and the people will return to a path of righteousness. The Kalki is to return when the sun, moon, Jupiter and Venus enter a new sign--which ironically will be around 2012.
Buddhist: The Maitreya ("Son-of-Love") will appear on earth to teach dharma which leads to total enlightment. He is to be the World Teacher. Before he returns the oceans are supposed to shrink in size so he can walk on them. In an attempt to tie these religions together, some already claim he is a descendent of King David and Mohamed. Some new agers and people into the lost city of Atlantis believe in the Maitreya.
New Age: They are all over the map ranging from belief in Hindu and Buddhist teachings about Karma and reincarnation all the way over to UFO's and E.T.'s. Some believe in different "ages" of historical time and believe we are in the Age of Aquarius. Some believe in angels, others in ghosts. They are pantheistic rather than theistic and are into touch with nature and hence enviromental activism. Many also rely heavily on horoscopes and astrology.
Maya 2012: The Maya 2012 dooms day hysteria has built up a following. This "ending" includes everything from pole shifts to asteroids. The date for the end is 12/21/12.
UFO's: Many are looking to the skies for signs. China recently closed airports several times in 2010 because of supposed UFO's overhead.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:23,24
"Now the great deciever will make it appear that Christ has come. In different parts of the earth, satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being....." The Great Controversy p.624

Anne Audubert burned at the stake during the Reformation

When Anne Audubert was tied to be burned at the stake for being a Protestant (1550 in Orleans, France) she said "Lord God! What a fine belt my betrothed has given me." A Catholic (Florimond de Raemond) wrote of the Protestants who were burned at the time "Because they saw innocent, weak women submit to torture so as to bear witness to their faith, facing death calling out only to Christ, and chanting various Psalms....they were like rocks standing against the waves of sorrow, in short they died smiling."

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. Luke 23:34

The state of the world today?

They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee. And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. Deuteronomy 32:16-20

Let the Trees Rejoice

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice. Psalms 96:12

From the rising to the setting of the sun

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised. Psalms 113:3

The "spot" of His children

They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation. Deuteronomy 32:5

Are you corrupted? Do you bear the "spots" of this world?

Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? Matthew 17:17

Alexander the Great

Alexander the Great--And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. Daniel 8:21

Alexander crushed the Medo-Persian Empire-- And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. Daniel 8:6,7

Upon the death of Alexander his empire was divided between his four generals--Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. Daniel 8:22

From the Lord

My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. Psalms 121:2

Knowledge shall be increased at the Time of the End

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:4

The TIME of the END begins

The TIME of the END begins -So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. Daniel 8:17 The vision was of the 2300 days (years) which ended in the mid 1840's. Now we are waiting for the Time of Trouble to start.

The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, ...And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. Zephaniah 1:14,15,17,18

Nigh unto the Grave

Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. Psalms 88:2,3

Preach the Word

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 2 Timothy 4:2-5

Holy Ghost inspired the Word of God

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:20,21

Be Thankful & Bless His Name

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalms 100:4

Last days of Paul

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:6-8

Thr world is "stablished"

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. Psalms 93:1,2

The Waves of Trouble

The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Psalms 93;3,4

How Great are Your Works....

O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. Psalms 92:5,6

The patient waiting

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5

Compassion

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 1 John 3:17

Purim

The celebration of Purim takes place 2 days out of the year for Jews. On it, they attend an evening then a morning reading of the whole book of Esther. They then give gifts to the poor and exchange food parcels with each other. The holiday of Purim is to commemorate their deliverance from extermination at the hands of Haman during the time of Queen Esther. And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book. Esther 9:32

Wheel within a Wheel & History

The wheel within a wheel of the vision of Ezekiel shows the ability of God to guide history in a perfect flow. The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. Ezekiel 1:16 The words of Mordecai to Queen Esther is a good example... For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:14
